Gallery Wrap Options
Gallery wrap is a method of stretching a photo on canvas print so that the canvas wraps around the sides of a stretcher bar and is secured to the back of the wooden frame. The sides of the frames are either ¾", 1½", or 2" thick. The result is the staples used for securing the canvas are then not visible. You can choose to have your image wrap completely around the sides or choose a color that compliments your image for a true frameless look.
- Our Framed & Stretched canvases have a depth of ¾".
Gallery Wrap
- Using a 16 x 20 canvas as an example:
- If you would like your image to wrap completely around the sides, we must add an additional 3/4" all around the face of your canvas.
- Therefore we will crop & center your image to: 17.5" x 21.5"
see example on right →
- Note: When choosing a full image wrap, be sure your subject(s) are generally centered and away from the canvas edge, you wouldn't want to wrap their heads or bodies around the sides.
Museum Wrap
-
Using the same example, if you choose Framed or Stretched Canvas, We will crop and center your image to 16" x 20" and the sides will be white.
-
Note: All framed canvases are printed this way.
